此装置探索公众如何介入艺术 ,如何通过艺术表达明确艺术“立场”。 不同的政治语境缔造出截然不同的艺术表达方式。两位来自中国的艺术家,刚刚来到伦敦,经历完全不同的社会经济政治环境,在有感于东西方完全不同的艺术表达方式的同时,反思自身原有的艺术表达方式。 作品《立场》放置在展览馆的户外空间花园上,思考如何将艺术作品与这个已存在的公共空间产生联系,并赋予它一定的社会功能。作品中的文字暗示了对于既定规则的打破,蓝白颜色及相关的连接点也都有着文化隐喻。作品带有明显的个人文化背景与当地文化政治语境的冲突,对于艺术家如何介入社会的功能与作用,艺术家身份进行再思考。 这是一件合作作品,在观念主题的形成和制作过程中,艺术家始终思考各自在这个群体中的身份属性,并如何与集体联系。所有的讨论及创作都基于“立场”的表达,基于与公众的介入联系而发展。 观众可以在观看作品的同时,坐在装置椅上讨论背后的“文字墙”中的社会现象,在思考作品表达的同时,引发对于政治文化环境差异的反思。   Art must take side This installation explores how the public intervenes in art, and how to express artistic “position” through artistic expression.
