This series of work represents infants’ growing period when their gender has not defined yet. This series of works is derived from the report that almost 9.6 million girls worldwide die of abortion, of abandoned and of lack nursing every year. There are nearly 10 million women disappeared because of Chinese traditional concept that boys are superior than girls. This phenomenon is especially serious happened in China and India. Different ways of presenting the infants refer our conditioned mind, which not only influences our way of thinking, but also deprives so many innocent people of the opportunity of living. The glass box showed in the works symbolizes the particular society in which we grow up, the particular ideology with its dogmas, traditions and the vast influence of culture and society. Although the glass boxes are transparent, no one can break the rules of society.
