Sculpture PUBLIC INTIMACY – TOUCH ME & HUG ME

When social distancing becomes the new social norms in public space, touching and hugging become luxury social interaction during the pandemic and in the post-pandemic era. After one and half year of national lockdown, this series of work Public Intimacy: Touch me and Hug me aims to invite the viewers to hug and touch the artworks and compensate the lack of touching and hugging due to the social distancing. The shape of the form as its one standing as a breast sculpture as well as the shape of penis for laying on the ground, this work is meant to provoke eelings such as sexuality, sensuousness, eroticism, affection and love, pleasure, caring, and tenderness which are mainly addressing the features of eroticism. Therefore, the work Public Intimacy-Touch Me and Hug Me constitutes a much higher faculty in utility relations between the audience and the work at the same time, it also has relatively high level of eroticism, sensational and sharing between differences, but with much low faculty on “spoilt sense of privilege”.
