It held at the China Central Academy of Fine Arts on 22nd/23rd October, 2016 with Florentijin Hofman, Xubing, Naren Barfield (Pro-Rector of Royal College of Art), and Colin Fournier (The Bartlett School of Architecture , UCL) etc.
The 2nd China Design Exhibition & Public Art Thematic Exhibition
The public art exhibition consists of two main lines, i.e. Literature Exhibition and Case Exhibition, while the Art Plan and Academic Forum are held jointly as the complement. The Literature Exhibition aims to summarize and display the development course of public art in China since the foundation of new China from six perspectives, i.e. cases, policies and laws, forums and conferences, higher education, writings and papers, and organizations, meanwhile focuses on the relation between public art and development of Beijing and Shenzhen, collects opinions of different social groups on public art, tries to show the attributes and functional value of public art under progress and presents the historical progress, development path, current status, achievements and self-examination of public art in China. The Case Exhibition mainly displays excellent cases of public art of recent decades on a national range level centering on the relationship between public art and national image, urban construction, humanistic concern and public life.
